“Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say.”

Thanks for checking out the products of InnerLoop LLC.
This document outlines what data InnerLoop LLC collects and how that data is used. Use of our products constitutes acceptance of these terms, which may be amended or changed without notice. Don't worry, they aren't scary or complicated! In short, we only collect a limited amount of data as necessary for gameplay features and to inform further improvements.
Personal data is linked to your user account and may be personally identifying. Each unique user account is created automatically and authenticated via your platform of purchase. We have no access to, nor will we ever ask for, user passwords or platform account information (other than as outlined below).
Data Collected from Super Hockey Ball
Per-platform User ID or Display Name
We use this to create your account and track your individual statistics. Since Super Hockey Ball is cross-platform, leaderboards and stats are maintained separately from each individual storefront (such as Steam).
This one should be pretty obvious. To show leaderboards we have to track your best scores and other game-generated stats.
We note when new levels are unlocked. As an example, this helps us to determine things like, "Level 4 is way too hard, since only 14% of players make it to Level 5." This is also used to trigger achievements.
Some user settings may be recorded. Examples include "Handedness", "Stick Length", "Locomotion Type", or "Rotation Type". This sort of information tells us which settings are being utilized by our players. This helps us focus on improving the most relevant features to our users. After all, if 95% of users change a default setting... maybe there should be a different default setting.
GPU and CPU information, such as make/model, which is used to guide performance improvements.
We're keeping track of which headsets our players use, which controllers are connected, etc. This helps focus our development efforts on hardware our players are using.
Numbers such as "Average Frame Time" are reported alongside the system information. If we notice, for example, that GTX 970 users are consistently not hitting the desired framerate, we should probably adjust default settings and optimize a bit more.
And... that's all. We're pretty basic.
Aggregated and anonymized information may occasionally be published. Though, NO information will ever be published in a form that could be personally identifying. Similarly, no identifying information will be shared with any person or organization unless required by law. We may, for example, publish a chart on Twitter showing what percentage of players are using each HMD.
For all inquiries, questions, comments, request a copy of your data, or to request your data be deleted, please contact us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Super Hockey Ball uses Microsoft Azure PlayFab services (https://playfab.com/) and is developed using Unreal Engine 4 (https://www.unrealengine.com/).
This website was built using Google Sites (https://sites.google.com/) and implements basic analytic data provided by Google Analytics (https://analytics.google.com/). We really don't pay any attention to that data, but sometimes it's nice to know how much traffic we're getting.
